Dyadic interventions in older people with chronic diseases: An integrative review

•Dyadic interventions are promising for improving indicators related to older people with chronic conditions, caregivers, dyads and families.•Dyadic interaction is important for dyadic intervention, and it is suggested to adopt interaction strategies that are feasible to implement, and the type of interaction should be tailored to the study participants.•Future studies on dyadic intervention can be guided by matching dyadic correlation theories and reflect the role characteristics and interactions of dyads.
