摘要
•Impact induced deformation and ignition of high-ductility composite energetic materials is reported.•A macro-mesoscopic thermomechanical model is developed for describing ignition.•Localized viscous shear heating, melting, and reaction of composite energetic materials is quantitated.•High shear deformation rate contributes to the localized viscous shear flow heating and following ignition.
