摘要
To remain competitive, firms should formulate training strategies ensuring employees' core competencies remain in alignment with adopted information systems (IS). This is especially true for employees working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, a widely adopted IS. Training employees on the use of ERP systems must include a comprehensive knowledge management (KM) approach. Based on the structuration theory of technology, this research demonstrates how an ERP simulation can used effectively as a contextualized training mechanism to foster continuous learning among experienced users from disparate functional units. A research model was developed that synthesized facets and enablers associated with collaborative KM systems and constructs from existing KM and technology acceptance models. Partial Least Squares (PLS) Modeling confirmed the impact of the multi-faceted constructs of the knowledge creation process on performance expectancy, one of the primary beliefs of the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology.
