SUSTAINABLE REMOVAL OF TOLPERISONE HYDROCHLORIDE FROM AQUEOUS SUSPENSIONS BY USING CERIA/ZIRCONIA NANOCOMPOSITES

摘要
In this study, a sustainable photocatalytic removal of tolperisone hydrochloride (TLP) was investigated. The photocatalytic experiments under two types of irradiation (UV and simulated sunlight) were conducted by using aqueous suspensions of CeO2/ZrO2 (CZO) composite powders prepared by mechanochemical grinding and calcination. The effect of the initial pH value of the reaction suspension on photocatalytic efficiency was investigated. The possible mechanism of the photocatalytic degradation of TLP was examined in the presence of Greek ano teleiaOH scavengers (tert-butanol and NaF). The structure, morphology, and optical properties of CZO were analyzed using several techniques (X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, and Raman and diffuse -reflectance spectroscopy).
