DESEND: A Fast Device Event Signature Extraction And Detection Method for Smart Home

Smart home devices are increasingly being used, but there is a lack of event monitoring of smart home devices. Device event signature is a key part of device event detection technology that is used to detect device event. Existing methods for extracting and detecting device event signatures do not strike a balance between accuracy, versatility and computing efficiency. In this paper, we present DESEND, a fast method for device event signature extraction and detection. DESEND can extract device event signatures on different network protocols. It has faster detection speed with little loss of accuracy. The signatures extracted by DESEND are robust and can adapt to changes in the environment.
