摘要
GRADIOR is a computer-based cognitive stimulation and rehabilitation program for people with MCI and mild dementia. This chapter focuses on describing the GRADIOR program from its basic characteristics to aspects associated with user experience, usability, effectiveness and adherence. Therefore, data obtained from different studies carried out with GRADIOR on these aspects from its beginnings to the present are considered. Aspects to improve the usability and user experience since the first versions of GRADIOR have been identified. According to the latest studies, the current version of GRADIOR has good sustainability and acceptability, is positively perceived by older people and is considered an intuitive and easy-to-use tool, although there are certain aspects of its exercises that should be improved. Besides, current studies point to a mild improvement in the cognitive functions of people with MCI and mild dementia, who attended a GRADIOR intervention after 12 months of training, which suggests the need to develop long-term clinical trials. GRADIOR had a positive and significant impact on sustained attention and mood in the experimental group (EG) compared to the control group (CG). Finally, higher executive functioning associated with functions such as attention, working memory, phonological verbal fluency, numerical reasoning and cognitive flexibility can be considered as predictors of greater adherence to GRADIOR.
