摘要
Wastewater contaminated by radionuclides has become a major environmental issue, which is threatening human health. The β-cyclodextrin modified molybdenum disulfide (β-CD-MoS 2 ) was studied as an adsorbent for the elimination of europium(Eu) form aqueous solutions. The experimental results showed that the adsorption of Eu(III) on β-CD-MoS 2 relied on pH and temperature. The removal of Eu(III) on the composite was better simulated by the Langmuir model, revealing a monolayer removal process. The adsorption capacity of β-CD-MoS 2 for Eu(III) attained 107.1 mg/g and the retention of Eu(III) was an endothermic process. The surface oxygen-containing functional groups (hydroxyl groups) controlled the retention of Eu(III). The findings presented in this study can offer important information for the elimination of Eu(III) in environmental pollution control.
