Engineering of the Portable Grain Drying Plant Using a Microwave Field

The difficulties of preserving the grain harvest during storage on the floor in grain warehouses involve ventilation and drying operations. The difficulties caused by this operation are associated with the duration of the process, as well as large amount of energy is needed for its implementation. This work is focused at developing equipment that ensures the drying of the grain mound in less time, provided that specific energy costs are reduced. The proposed version of the equipment, designed with the use of a microwave field source, is presented. Conclusions are drawn about the prospects of this development and about the directions of further researches.
