Short communication: Is there any benefit of initiating aspirin before the 11th week of gestation?

•Aspirin initiated at 11–14 weeks of gestation reduces the risk of preterm preeclampsia in high-risk women.•Neither the safety nor the effectiveness of aspirin initiated before 11 weeks of gestation have been demonstrated.•Aspirin is not effective in improving live birth rate in women undergoing ART or following recurrent miscarriages.
