This research proposes a novel power management system (PMS) for a grid linked to the Wind energy conversion system (WECS), photovoltaic (PV) and battery bank (BB). The PMS system proposed control targets are: I ensuring battery management based in the source capacity of the irradiation condition of PV; (ii) reducing (highly effective) energy loss in the system and (iii) increasing reliability and power quality of the system In this proposal, an energy storage unit based on batteries is implemented to control the battery power and enhance the stability of a network connected system with a large-scale hybrid wind-photovoltaic (PV) farm with a super-capacity (SC). The SC has been designed to improve the damping properties of low-frequency oscillations with a proposed Three Port Converter system. A bidirectional buck boost converter for the used battery device is used to implement an additional converter unit. In terms of battery handling, load sharing, losing minimization and reliability, the proposed PMS offers better operational performance for operating conditions. Using MATLAB/SIMULINK environment, a proposed system is simulated.
