Monitoring System of The Patient’s Transportation in the Medical Institution

One of the current areas of technological process improvement is using a positioning system. Monitoring of the patient's transportation helps to find the sick person in the medical institution and shows his/her position in the building in real time. Moreover such system consists the path information of the patient which helps in future investigation if necessary. Different application of the positioning technology requires different positioning accuracy in space and time. We chose radio frequency identification as a technology of the positioning because of it's advantages according to the scenario. Benefits of the radio-frequency positioning technology among other positioning technologies are possibility of the unique identification of the object, reading the RFID tag without line of sight, possibility of reading a great amount of tags, storage of the information and real time processing. Paper shows the logical-structural approach for developing a monitoring positioning system using RFID and the results of the system modeling.
