摘要
Sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), is a public health issue in Australia, estimated to cause up to 3,000 deaths nationally each year in those aged 1-50 years. The majority of these arrests are without documented heart disease or symptoms and have few risk factors that might have predicted their event. We describe the study protocol for the End Unexplained Cardiac Death New South Wales (EndUCD NSW) Registry data linkage study to determine the incidence and impact of SCA in young people from 2009 to the present.
