A Two-Part Custom Power Pricing Method for High-Tech Customers in an Incremental Distribution Park

The current pricing methods for custom power in China are mainly based on the single electricity price, i.e., additional service cost per kWh. However, customer power is not only related to electricity quantity (kWh), but also depends on capacity (kVA). Thus, a two-part custom power pricing method for high-tech customers in an incremental distribution park is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the power quality level is determined based on different power quality indices. Then, a two-part custom power pricing optimization model is proposed. Finally, a practical case study is conducted on four typical customers located in an industrial park. The results show that the proposed method can reasonably allocate custom power charges between capacity and electricity consumed by customers, which will help customers improve the efficiency of production equipment.
