Infusing Big Data as part of a NEW Physics of Failure (PoF) Framework

摘要
Within the context of safety and reliability, NASA is building a framework to infuse artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and “Big Data” with traditional Physics of Failure (PoF) approaches to transform space systems analysis at The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). This new approach aims to take advantage of the larger amounts of multivariate data being made available through increased use of sensors, model based engineering approaches, and other enhanced communications capabilities that provide far more detailed information about the non-linear dynamics of space systems than could ever be obtained before through typically small sample size laboratory experiments.
