Cardiac Functional Testing Has Poor Diagnostic Value in Women With Breast Arterial Calcification on Mammography
Heart Lung and Circulation(2022)
摘要
Mammographically identified breast arterial calcification (BAC) is associated with prevalent coronary artery calcium (CAC). Like CAC, BAC is thought to represent cumulative exposure to cardiovascular risk factors. There is minimal evidence exploring the utility of cardiac functional testing in women with BAC. Unlike screening mammography, CAC is a less widely performed screening test, and therefore we aimed to determine whether a functional approach may be suitable in the work-up of BAC-positive women.
