Enhanced Catalytic Performance of the Hollow Mo/Hzsm-5 Nanocrystal for Methane Dehydroaromatization

•Hollow HZSM-5 nanocrystals with different shell thickness were prepared.•Hollow Mo/HZSM-5 catalysts exhibits excellent activity to produce aromatics from CH4.•Hollow Mo/Z5(24) catalyst achieves the highest CH4 convention and best C6H6 production.•The hollow structure facilitates the diffusion and enhances the accessibility of the Brønsted acid sites.•The hollow structure endows stronger interaction between the Mo species and the acid sites.
