Intramural substrate extension (ISE) of the post-infarction subendocardial or transmural scar has been recently documented by cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) in subsets of patients with ischemic cardiomyopathy (ICM). The prevalence and clinical relevance of ISE in ICM patients undergoing catheter ablation of ventricular tachycardia (VT) is unknown.
