New Frontiers in (Un)ethical Leadership Research

While researchers have identified a variety of situations when leaders engage in morally hazardous behaviors at work such as abusing subordinates, engaging in unethical behaviors that benefit the organization and/or its members, and requesting subordinates to engage in unethical behaviors as well as the antecedents and outcomes of those unethical leader behaviors, there are still many unknowns when it comes to when those unethical leader behaviors occur and what the consequences are. This symposium includes four papers that approach the above questions using diverse theoretical perspectives and thus contributes the (un)ethical leadership literature.
