Utilization and gender disparities of Deep Brain Stimulation surgery amongst Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Other Pacific Islanders with Parkinson’s disease in Hawai`i

•Disaggregated analysis of AA reveal disparities amongst NHPI in DBS utilization.•AA were overrepresented in total PD admissions, whereas NHPI were underrepresented.•NHPI females represent 37.65 % of NHPI PD admissions in the state of Hawaii.•In the last 20 years, no female NHPI PD patient utilized DBS at the largest nonprofit hospital in Hawaii.
