In this work, Bi2O2CO3/Ti3C2Tx heterojunctions embedded with surface and interface oxygen vacancies were designed for enhanced photodegradation of levofloxacin, where the light absorption was extended to visible/IR range and the recombination of photo-generated charge carriers was remarkably mitigated.
