3D porous structure assembled from MXene via breath figure method for electrochemical detection of dopamine

•MXene based ordered porous film is prepared through a simple self-assembly process.•MXene restacking is inhibited at multiscale and electrochemical performance is enhanced.•MXene based porous film show high sensitivity and low detection limit to DA sensing.•Good anti-interference, repeatability, reproducibility, stability and accuracy are shown.•The sensing performance can be optimized through controlling the porous structure.
