摘要
The degradation of dyestuffs by the photocatalysis method is fascinating because it is simple and reduces the quantity of new waste generated during the process. The purpose of this study is to use a Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 composite to photocatalyst the degradation of methylene blue as a model organic pollutant. X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscope (SEM) were used to examine the catalyst's properties. The XRD investigation confirmed the presence of a composite structure of Zn-Fe3O4/WO3. The morphological particles of Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 are non-uniform and tend to agglomerate, as evidenced by the SEM image. The optimal conditions of the photocatalytic process were 50 mL methylene blue (10 ppm), 0.2 g weight of Zn-Fe3O4/WO3 catalyst, and a contact time of 30 minutes, which resulted in an 81.38 % degradation.
