摘要
In this study, purely isolated marine microalgae from southern coast of Bangladesh were cultured for animal feedstuff. A total of four species were isolated from different coastal aqua-farms. Among the four identified species three species were green microalgae (Chlorella sp., Nannochloropsis sp., and Tetraselmis sp.) and one was brown microalgae (Chaetoceros sp.). Growth curves, productivity and proximate composition of identified microalgae were determined to observe the growth rates and nutritional profile. It was found that Nannochloropsis sp. is the most potential species because of its availability, less culture complexity, higher survivability, much biomass productivity (0.45 mg/L/Day), protein (35%), and carbohydrate (22%) profile. Moreover, Chlorella sp. and Tetraselmis sp. are also found suitable considering its protein (33% and 40%) and carbohydrate (23% and 17%) profile. These all species are found potential as animal feedstuffs considering mainly their protein profile.
