Interest in receiving psychedelic-assisted therapy among marginalized women: Implications and findings from a community-based study in Canada

•Factors associated with interest in psychedelics among women were examined.•Impacts on personal meaning, spiritual significance and wellbeing are described.•43% of marginalized women were interested in psychedelic-assisted therapy.•Mental health issues and trauma were associated with interest in psychedelics.•Gender- and culturally-sensitive approaches to psychedelic science are needed.
