•The effectiveness of coupon promotion on the omnichannel supply chain is investigated.•Product competitive strategies under different coupon promotion models are investigated and compared.•The joint optimal pricing, coupon promotion, and channel competition strategies are proposed.•Proposed models can act as a support system to the omnichannel supply chain.
