High-efficiently capturing trace thallium (Ι) from wastewater via the prussian blue@polytetrafluoroethylene hybrid membranes

•A stable Tl-capturing porous membrane (PB@PDA/PEI-M−1) was successfully constructed.•The PB@PDA/PEI-M−1 exhibited a high-efficient and high-selective capture for Tl(I) during a continuous flowing operation.•Our as-prepared membranes removed most of Tl(I) from actual Tl(I)-polluted pearl river water, and remediated water quickly.•PB@PDA/PEI-M−1 provided a feasible technology for Tl(I) removal in a complicated environment.
