摘要
Background: Adnexal torsion can occur in women of all ages, and delayed diagnosis and treatment leads to decreased blood supply, resulting in necrosis. Especially in children and adolescent, adnexal torsion occurs often due to their anatomy. Although ovarian preserving surgery is recommended for adnexal torsion, oophorectomy has been done because of non-viable ovary, concern of thromboembolism, etc. The purpose of our study was to determine whether ovarian preserving surgery in adnexal torsion is useful in preserving ovarian function without increasing any risk of postoperative complications.
