High-pressure deformation of metallic glass nanoparticles

摘要
•Ni1-xBx metallic glass nanoparticles were compressed under hydrostatic pressure.•The amorphous structure was stable under high pressure up to the maximum pressure tested.•41 nm particles had a smaller coordination number than 164 nm particles.•41 nm and 164 nm particles had bulk modulus of 183 GPa and 178 GPa, respectively.•Change in pressure-derivative of bulk modulus was related to the ambient pressure results.
