New Chrysin-based co-crystals: Synthesis, characterization and dissolution studies

•Two chrysin-based co-crystals were assembled by hydrogen bonding interaction.•The hydrogen bonds between -OH and -N were clarified.•Two co-crystals showed a higher dissolution rate than that of chrysin.•The approach of co-crystal solved the insoluble problem of chrysin.
