摘要

•Unexpected synthesis and characterization of a series of novel nucleosides containing triazine-pyrrole hybrid.•The synthesized compounds are inactive against human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) (HTLV IIIB).•MTT assay shows significant inhibitory activity of nucleosides 8a and 8b against human pancreatic carcinoma (Paca2).•The docking results showed promising binding activity of compounds 8a and 8b with CDK-2 kinase.
