Mineralization process of ferrous ions from ZnSO4-FeSO4 solution at a temperature range of 368.15–423.15 K

•This process has lower temperature and lower energy consumption.•Iron-rich precipitates are small in volume and rich in iron.•Iron-rich products can be used as raw material for ironmaking.•The mineralization rate of ferrous ions was improved by neutralizer.•This process can realize cleaner production and resource recycling.
