摘要

•We proved tens of nanoseconds laser pulses can be compressed to 10 ns using pulse distortion.•The effects of the pulse width and signal power on pulse distortion were investigated.•All-fiberized 8 ns laser with greater than 1 kW average power and 0.78 MW peak power was achieved.
