The influence of the patch antennas emissions on the human head

Abstract The influences of the antenna’s emissions on the human body are to be investigated because in our days, as a simple example, the mobile phone is permanently in use, on day or night. The long-time human exposure at the electromagnetic field radiations is obvious and there exist the possibility that these can affect the human health. The influences of the circular patch antenna’s emissions on the human head are analyzed at high frequency in this paper. First the patch antenna is modelled and simulated to extract its specific parameters and to represent the emitted electric and magnetic field around it. Next the human head is considered near to the patch antenna in position that imitates the mobile phone at ear and the electric field, the magnetic field, and the specific absorption rate (SAR) are represented to determine the antenna’s emissions at its operating frequency. So, the main aim of the paper is the high frequency analyzes of the circular patch antennas to investigate the influence of their emissions on the human head. The results obtained are compared and reported to the standards and legislation in force on human occupational exposure, to verify that the limits are met.
