摘要

•Zn−Al and Li−Al LDHs with Li-, Mo- and W-based corrosion inhibitors were prepared.•Zn−Al LDH W and Li−Al LDH Li showed the highest corrosion resistance.•XRD, FTIR and XPS analysis confirmed the incorporation of inhibitors.•Active corrosion properties were confirmed by SVET analysis for the Zn−Al LDH W layer.•An inhibition corrosion mechanism is proposed based on several phenomena.
