Patients with focal epilepsy may present epileptic drop attacks (EDA) during the evolution of their illness and it is considered that its physio pathogenic substrate is a mechanism of bilateral synchrony. New onset drop attacks due to a symptomatic bradyarrhythmia have been described as a side effect of vagus nerve stimulation therapy (VNS).
