Various common neurological disorders such as e.g., Parkinson's Disease are characterized by balance and gait difficulties. Spinal-Cord-Stimulation (SCS) utilizes stimulation to sensory pathways to suppress pain, but could potentially also provide a readily available method of information transmission into the CNS to aid subjects in their mobility via supportive proprioceptive, balance or gait structuring inputs.
