•Psidium guajava could potentially be used as an antimicrobial in the food industry.•Psidium guajava is a source of antibacterial compounds.•Aqueous and ethyl acetate-extracted partitions displayed lowest MIC values.•Molecular networking depicts relationship between compounds of similar structure based on MS/MS fragmentation similarities.•Bioactive molecular networks of P. guajava were generated with our novel automated tool.
