摘要
The study included 30 male Kankrej bovines showing symptoms of urinary obstruction. All the animals were clinically examined for the colour of conjunctival mucous membrane, capillary refill time, fluid thrill and distension of abdomen, and evaluated ultrasonographically. Ultrasonographic examination (transabdominal and trans-rectal) provided quick and definitive information about the status of urinary bladder. Surgical treatment was done in 17 bovines; post-scrotal urethrotomy in 9 bullocks, and tube cystostomy in 8 calves. Surgical intervention, urethrotomy or tube cystotomy, along with oral feeding of ammonium chloride yielded good results.
