摘要

•We analyzed 57 men with non-malignant pathology from a previous MRI-fusion biopsy.•38.6% of men with persistence of a Prostate imaging-reporting data system ≥3 lesion at follow-up MRI-targeted re-biopsy harbored clinically significant prostate cancer.•Persistence of Prostate imaging-reporting data system score 4/5 demonstrated a higher risk of missed cancer at baseline biopsy despite the initial pathology.
