Evaluation of cloud seeding on the securement of additional water resources in the Boryeong Dam Basin, Korea

•Cloud seeding is found to be efficient on the increase of runoff or securing of additional water resources.•Various components of the hydrologic processes significantly increase by cloud seeding.•Increased rainfall highly contributes to the rainfall increase for both the event-based and annual analysis.•Wetter soil condition is more favorable to increase runoff and secure additional water resources.
