Simulation of silicon quantum dots with diamond-channel by simplified ME model

•A quantum dot device model that can be used to describe the new diamond channel is implemented in Python code.•The tunneling process of electrons including the number of electrons is dynamically displayed to show the contribution of nearest neighbor states to the current.•By introducing the influence of nearest neighbor state, the accuracy and speed of the model can be balanced by adjusting external parameters.
