摘要

•Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is often under detected and misdiagnosed.•To identify and assess OCD, the Brief Obsessive-Compulsive Scale-Self Report was tested.•BOCS-SR accurately identified OCD when compared to a structured diagnostic interview.•BOCS-SR severity score was correlated with a clinician-administered severity score.
