摘要

•The EO Q-switched laser performance with Nd:GdTaO4 was investigated.•Pulsed laser output at 1066 nm with a peak power of 61.75 kW was obtained at 1 kHz.•The results show Nd:GdTaO4 is a promising candidate for pulsed lasers.
