Perceived Barriers and Preliminary PTSD Outcomes in an Open Pilot Trial of Written Exposure Therapy With Latinx Immigrants

•The study used a mixed-methods approach to evaluate symptom improvement and acceptability of Written Exposure Therapy.•Written Exposure Therapy appeared to result in clinically meaningful change in PTSD symptoms among Latinx immigrants.•Cultural barriers primarily applied to stigma of traumatic event exposure.•Written Exposure Therapy may be a promising intervention for use with Latinx immigrants.
