Effect of laser remelting and heat treatment on microstructure and wear resistance of 2A97 Al-Li alloy

摘要
•Laser surface remelting of 2A97 Al-Li alloy refines grain structure and improves surface hardness.•Cu is segregation at grain boundary in molten pool of laser remelting Al-Li Alloy, and segregation degree is reduced after solution treatment.•T2(Al6CuLi3) quasicrystalline phase with quintic diffraction pattern is observed near grain boundary of Al-Li alloy rapidly solidified by laser remelting•Microhardness, elasticity modulus and wear resistance of remelted Al-Li alloy are further improved by precipitation of δ'(Al3Li), T1(Al2CuLi) and σ(Al5Cu6Mg2) phase.
