Ag Nanowire-Based Omnidirectional Stretchable Sensing Array for Independent Pressure-Strain Detection

As conventional strain measuring can be merely realized in one particular direction by strain sensors and could not meet the demand of flexible skin-based structures (FSSs), an omnidirectional strain-sensing array equipped with an independent measurement of pressure and strain is assembled. Vacuum filtration was applied to fabricate AgNWs/graphene-based sensing materials, and the substrate structure was optimized using a vertical circular cavity to realize pressure measurement. In addition, the isolation of pressure and strain data was controlled by changing the thickness-related stiffness of the substrate. These approaches demonstrate potential ways of solving data coupling and their compatibility with the current multiparameter measurement.
