摘要
•Construction of seaurchin-like heterostructured Ag2Se-Ag2S-CoCH/NF electrocatalyst by a new monometallic cation release method combined with hydrothermal reaction.•Proposing an anti-corrosion strategy with CoCH protective layer on superionic conductor for seawater electrolysis.•Revealing the co-modulation of active sites, HER/OER kinetics and corrosion resistance in Ag2Se-Ag2S by the incorporation of CoCH.•A comparable low overpotential demanded to drive 10 mA cm−2 towards HER/OER for alkaline water and seawater electrolysis.
