Development of (TiO2-ZnO)/LDPE based active nanocomposite films and detection of migration to minced beef during storage using response surface methodology

•The potential nano TiO2 and ZnO containing LDPE based packaging films is explored.•The migration of Ti and Zn from packaging films into minced meat was investigated.•The migration of Ti nanoparticles into minced meat was higher than of Zn nanoparticles.•These films could be a better alternative for traditional food packaging materials.
