Multi-slice imaging with transmission K-domain transform method

摘要
A transmission K-domain transform method was proposed to realize multi-slice imaging by using a light sheet to illuminate a thick sample and a high pass filter to capture the complex amplitude of its image. The image of the lighted sample volume at each scanning location can be directly computed with the aid of the 2D K-domain transform algorithm and multi-slice imaging may be accomplished by sequentially scanning the sample through the light sheet. Since the K-domain transform method operates in transmission geometry, rotation of the sample or illumination is not necessary, data acquisition is quick, and mechanical precision of the optical setup and environmental stability requirements are significantly reduced. The suggested method has significant advantages for applications with short wavelengths, such as coherent synchrotron radiation and high-energy electron beams, where reflection is often absent. The feasibility of this proposed method is verified numerically and experimentally.
