33125 Improving quality of life for elderly patients with xerosis with an easy-to-use, ceramide-containing skincare routine

Introduction: In the coming years we will see an increasingly aging population worldwide. Xerosis is one of the most common skin concerns in the elderly and is the result of functional and compositional changes in the epidermis that occur with age and other factors including disease and chronic medication use. This study evaluated the impact of a ceramide-containing, hydrating cleanser and body cream on skin quality and quality of life (QoL) in elderly patients with xerosis.
